Msgr Giussani's 100th anniversary in Xinzhuang (Taipei)
Taipei (BC) Today is the anniversary of the death of Msgr Luigi Giussani (February 22, 2005), the founder of Communion and Liberation and my great teacher and father. Here in Taiwan we remembered it in a very special way: on the evening of February 19, the archbishop of Taipei, Msgr. Thomas Chung An-zu, joined in a meeting and celebrated mass in memory of Msgr Giussani. During the mass, in the church of San Paul, entrusted to the missionaries of Saint Charles Borromeo, there was also the baptism of a young man, 30 years old, who took the name of Luigi. At the meeting that preceded the mass, a girl told about her experience in meeting the CL community at the Fu Ren Catholic University, and said to have decided to ask for baptism. She will receive it at Easter.
